We are an importer, exporter and distributor of bulk nuts, seeds and dried fruits supplying the bakery, confectionery, ice cream & nut industries. We typically import from the same producers every year to give our customers product consistency. Nevertheless our strong growth has led to a continual expansion of our sourcing. Worldwide shipments are facilitated by our east and west coast U.S. warehouses. Much of our success is owed to the maintenance of special relationships with the growers and processors that supply us. It has led to a high level of trust & collaboration which has allowed us to provide our customers with better quality, pricing and service. This coupled with the many years of experience of our traders and an efficient infrastructure enable us to meet tight product specifications, offer same day delivery and beat market prices. Accurate market reporting is provided to our clientele to assist in strategic purchasing decisions. We rely on our integrity to turn our customers into clients.

What does “Hemisphere” have to do with nuts?

The company's founder Adam Green lived and worked in Costa Rica during the late '80s and early '90s. Initially he served there as a Peace Corps volunteer and later worked in the food business. In Costa Rica he befriended the manager of a macadamia nut farm, then in the early stages of development of a processing plant. On the strength of this & other strategic alliances, The Hemisphere Group was born in 1992. Shortly after opening the company's doors, relationships with growers, processors, importers and end users were solidified in Europe, Asia, Africa as well as within the U.S. The initial impetus for the firm was trade within the Western Hemisphere. The company started off small but thanks to a highly dedicated & skilled employee base and a loyal customer base, Hemisphere has grown in sales every year without exception. The group part of the name refers to the growing group of companies that sell their products exclusively through Hemisphere's U.S. distribution network. You may find that our sister company, Green Farms Nut Company has more of a nut industry-sounding name.

Just In Time

Although nuts & dried fruits are not considered perishable, we treat them that way. Our products are custom processed and packed for us at the latest possible date. All of our products are stored at 36-38° F & 60-70% RH to insure maximum freshness. Our stocks are carefully rotated so nobody gets an "old nut". Orders are usually shipped by our trucks but our customers are also welcome to pick-up at any of our warehouse locations and receive a discount. Our prices are predicated on quantity. Volume and loyal buyers receive the best pricing. We deliver anywhere in North America and export all over the world.
